Team Player

Brandon has recently learned to do up his own zippers. In supreme efforts to solidify his self-imposed "big boy" status he insists on doing up all his own zippers these days.
Yesterday he wanted to wear his Spiderman t-shirt. It's still a bit cool outside and he's currently fighting a cold so I told him he needed to wear a sweatshirt in addition to his t-shirt. His sweatshirt has sort of a sticky zipper on it and he couldn't get it done up. I said I would help him but he got angry and said he could do it. Knowing he would never get it done up I said "look we can be a team. I'll hold the bottom while you pull the zipper up". He complied and the task was easily completed.
Once done he looked at me said "Mommy, I don't need you on the team anymore when I go to put on my blue winter jacket". Haha! Nice. I just got kicked off the team :-)
